ASUU Shows Grievance, Says FG is Unconcerned

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), has today revealed that the Federal Government has not showed any sign of settling the issues that made the Union to embark on the two-week warning strike.

The Union is demanding that rather than force universities to embrace the IPPS system, the Federal Government should work at addressing the deficiency and decay in the university system.
The union also warned that it would sanction its members who had gone ahead to enrol in the system, despite instructions from the national body.

Both ASUU and FG were to reconvene but the scheduled meeting became void after the Senior Staff Association of Universities, SSANU,  also joined in the rejection of IPPS.
As it stands, the strike is very much active. Campus Catch NG fear that ASUU might embark on an indefinite Strike 'if' FG continues to display reluctancy.
